I’m hoping to do my bachelor’s thesis in Germany, and my own accommodation search gave me the idea for Found. I wanted help finding somewhere to stay and following up with places I liked. I got fairly invested in the interaction design and maps integration possibilities along the way. Excuse my video editing, I’m still learning :)
Moving through the map
Spent a lot of time on this part and how it feels. Some nice interactions with maps. Select a place and the camera flies down to it, then slowly circles around it in 3D. Check what’s nearby, and see the route to where you’d be studying or working. You can drop into Street View to look around the neighbourhood, then fly back out to compare locations. I put care into those camera movements and how you move between the conversation and the map.
Editing the email
I designed the email component’s editing interaction. Press Edit and tell it what you want changed. The changes show up highlighted in the email, with Accept and Undo buttons so you can review them before sending and iterate on it. And a nice little animated glyph on sending.
A few questions
Nice little questionnaire component for when the AI needs a few clarifications or some information from you.
A few more visual details
Beyond the landing page shader in the preview up top, a few more visual details from Found: the ASCII fire and the desktop login screen.
